On tap at Manayunk, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, not much else. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and a touch of earthy coffee. Clean and pleasant. Decent.

On tap at Pro Brewers Night and a couple of more times at AHA Philadelphia 6/27/2013 Pours a dark brown/black with faint ruby highlights and a creamy tan head that shows moderate retention. Smells of chocolate, roast, caramel and a hint of dark stone fruit. The flavor is as the aroma advertised. Nice creamy silky mouthfeel. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Bottled. A trip down memory lane from the time before RateBeer, where I visited the brewpub. A dark amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, chocolate, and a bit of roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.
