English Style Old Ale brewed with roasted chestnuts and Spotted Dick; a spicey bread pudding with raisins. The desert compliments the malty stone fruit flavors of the pale ale and caramel malts, as well as the roasty nutty character added by the roasted chestnuts.

Draft at the brewpub, one of two real brewpub offerings available for us to consume. Poured a dark, ruby color with a small off-white head. Aroma was roasted, sweet malts and some dried fruits (plums), some nutty roast notes make this a pleasant beer to smell. Flavor was nice, dried fruit notes, very sweet, touch of alcohol. Not bad, suited the dark cold evening more than anything.
