Witbier

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with a small head. Aroma is citrus, wheat, some diacetyl as well as some spiciness. Flavour is spices, citrus, some wheat, mild rubbery and some coriander, especially in the finish.

Lemon, coriander, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Slightly hazy pale yellow with small head. Moderately sweet lemon, coriander, wheat malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. Decent.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy pale gold colour lasting white head. Light wheat aroma light lemon. In the mouth more cereal wheat character and lemon, very light tasting wit bier but I've had a lot worse. It's absolutely fine. Not too exciting, touch of spice somewhere. Light hops on the finish.

330ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Wheaty, fruity aroma, notes of pear, yellow apple and banana, a touch of clove and coriander. Taste is strawy, wheaty, slightly fruity, minimally spicy, hints of pear, banana, a diluted touch of lemon, some clove and coriander; light and watery.

33cl bottle. A hazy pale golden beer with a small most good lasting white head. Aroma of citrus, lime, wheat malt, yeast. Taste of mild citrus fruits, herbs, ginger, wheat, yeast.

Bottle from Schneiders Getränke, Köln. Fresh and dry beginning. Nice fruity with hints of sourness. Floral fresh, smooth and mild, not too much herbs or orange there, but not weak. Nice sessionable though with not too much Witbier-Character.

Weicher, hefig-trockener Antrunk. Leichte Noten von Koriander, süffig, Geringe Herbe, zum Mittelteil milder werdend. Die Hefigkeit bleibt das prägende Aroma, spät Noten von Orangenschalen. Okay. 8/9/8/8/9/8

330 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light body; with a watery and lightly grainy/bready mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a decent witbier. All around solid robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A fairly enjoyable offering.

Bottle.Hazy straw yellow color, smallish to medium white head. Malty a bit spicy scent. Malty, spicy, light estery taste. Spicy aftertaste. Light mouthfeel, fizzy. Low bitterness.

Bottled at SBWF. Clear pale golden, small head. Buttery coriander aroma. Sweet and fruity with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Notes of citrus, butter and caramel, lots of coriander. Not the best offering from 961.
