On tap at Liberty Street. Now up to 10%. Deep brown pour with an off-white head. Sweet molasses aroma. Flavor has sweet molasses and caramel, red grape, honey, toffee, vanilla. Definitely a high gravity beer, but really tasty and drinkable. Kind of more an imperial brown ale to me than a porter.

5th Annual MBG Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Murky medium/dark brown body, thin/medium cream head. Tart nose with roasted malts and honey; honey is more apparent in the body, balanced by toast, roasted malts, and coffee. Bitter finish. I think I’ll be visiting Liberty Street sometime soon.
