Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a murky brown color with a cap of a little white semi-foamy head that fell off at a decent pace.
The aroma had some maple syrup, light brown sugar, some caramel/toffee malts, light sweet wood and a gentle earthiness underneath.
The flavor tried to blend the sweet to the earthiness, but seemed to lean towards the maple syrup and brown sugar which bled into the aftertaste. The finish seemed to come across sweet and sticky.
The feel was about medium bodied with an almost cloying touch to it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine as well.
Overall, decent brown ale that I didn’t mind, but can see others not liking this as much.

On tap at North Center. A deep brown pour. Sweet aroma with brown sugar. Flavor is sweet maple brown sugar, coffee and roasty hints. This is pretty good, but the maple seems to cover up some of the other flavors. I like the original a lot more.
