On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges slowly and laces. Aroma has dark fruits and sweet grains dark grains with a bit of toffee backing. Flavor has tons of dark fruits with a strong toffee note and a touch of roast.

5th Annual MBG Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Slightly hazy dark orange body, medium cream head. Banana and clove nose and body, toasty and quite dry with little sweetness. Long earthy, herbal finish.

Growler, filled earlier today at the brewery. Pours reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is a mix of fairly sweet and peaty dark fruits, caramel, toffee, a little floral. Flavor has dark fruits (touches of grape in particular), peat, and caramel. Toasted peaty malt finish. A solid Scotch ale.
