Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a brown color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet and roasty nuts playing with some caramel and toffee malts. Grassy and dried piney hops play underneath.
The flavor has the nuts and the malts boldly up front and then brings in the grassy and piney hops in a semi-bitter manner. Light earthiness comes in and blends on into the aftertaste and slyly moving into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Crisp nutty dryness lingers over my tongue.
Overall, nicely done brown ale, seems to lean towards the English style as the piney hops are more of a backdrop here.

On tap at Boise pub. Pours out a nice brown topped with a small head. Nose is nutty roast malt fresh hop kick and some chocolate. Taste is more of the roast malts nutty notes and nice hop kick.

On tap at 10 Barrel in Bend. Pours a clear light brown color with a medium beige head. A big fresh fruit and toast nose. The flavor is awesome, I really like hoppy brown ales and this is a good one: fresh oranges, pine, sweet toasted chocolate bread. Caramel. Damn nice, super easy.

On cask at the Boise BP. Clear deep brown with redish highlights. Small wispy light tan head and spotty lacing. Woody malt aroma, rather hoppy for a brown. Refreshing a crsp flavored...again a bit hoppy. Moderate bodied. Nice
