Can from Great Grog. Hazy golden body with a few flecks floating beneath a white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pear skin and raw potato. Flavour of melon rind, metal and bitter, grassy hops. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Not sweet and fruity enough for me, which it should be for the style and the fact Idaho 7 is used. This isn’t great.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - murky yellow to orange. Creamy off-white head. Nose - orange, geranium and dank melon. Taste - candied orange and dried mango. Dry resinous edge. Palate - medium bodied, creamy and tangy middle. Tangy, bitter finish. Overall - ok, a bit more bitter than expected.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours cloudy golden - orange with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is green, pine needles, grass, stone fruit, apricot, nectarine and the like, floury bread and a bit of fresh guff... The taste is firmly dry, fairly sharp, bitter, crispy, pithy, zesty, waxy bitter citrus rind, some rawness, soap, dry pine, floury bread and some chalkiness with a drying finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. A bit farty on the snout and sharp/raw on the taste. A mixed bag.
