From tap at Bhurtpore Inn in Aston, England, 19.06.22, while on canal boat with my parents. Served using a sparkler. Clear golden. Dense and persistent white head and lacing. Fine aroma and smooth taste of pale malt, marmalade, succade and pine shoots. Refreshing and very quaffable.

Cask @ Record Cafe, Bradford. Deeper golden with a creamy head. It’s not quite feeling its strength It has a mildly grassy hoppiness in both aroma and taste.

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Golden and clear. Neat white head. Orange lozenge and light medicinal herb. Taste is very similar - orange lozenge. Light to medium bodied, tangy, dry finish. Decent.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a golden amber with minimal white head. Traditonal bitter hops feature strongly in the aroma, plus a sprinkling of malts. In the mouth it is bitter and hoppy, but not overwhelmingly so. Grains and pine and there also, with some sweet fruitiness lurking underneath. Finish is quite bitter. I’m not usually keen on Mobberley beers, as I find them too “new wave”, but this is solid, traditional and pretty decent.
