Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, getreidig, leicht süß. Geschmack wässrig, leicht malzig getreidig, minimal herb.

1st Beer of a ’Random Beer Evening’. 330ml brown bottle, badged ’Blond Lager’: 3 months out of date when poured into a Duvel glass on 17 Aug 2013. Looked fine: clear and clean, deep golden body with a full white crown of bubbles on top. Aroma of wet cardboard with a metallic clunk to it: some sweetness too. Grainy taste, with added sugar, not nice at all. Tried to get into it, but failed: had to open a packet of crisps to help me finish the glass off. Worst beer I’ve had from New Zealand: not that I’ve had many.

Draft at the Iguana in Hamilton. Clear yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of white peper and straw. Taste is lemon, scant peppery bitterness. Plain.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Very discreet aroma of hardly.....anything. Light body, extremely bland and watery, no real hops either. Inoffensive - but so bland that it’s a bit of a joke. 040213

Bottle: Golden, visible carbonation, small white foamy layer, bready-fruity nose; light sweet-bitter flavour, almost a bit sour, not caused by infection; watery MF; delicate bready-fruity finish. Yuk....

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20120324]
