Our Double IPA is extremely drinkable and we consider it a limited edition. This brew is full bodied with a quad-hop presence and a richly loaded malt bill to back it up.

Super hazy and opaque bronze and copper body with almost a muddied brown glow and a nice two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of rich apricots, fruity malts, a lot of alcohol and a pungent hop note of nuts and earth. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong nutty and earthy flavours with some alcohol, grain, toffee, caramelised sugar and fruity finish. Aftertaste shows some of the alcohol burn along with a large malt backbone, some subdued yet noticeable fruit sweetness, a bit of grain and a nice bitterness from the hops, showing a decidedly European twist. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA from a local source that is very drinkable. But, as bad as the Washington local market is, this isn’t worth searching out. I sampled this ten ounce pour on draught at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 26-January-2017 for US$5,00 sampled at the end of my driveway!

4 oz pour on draft at Caboose, simply listed as Imperial IPA at 9%. Clear dark golden brown with off-white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, floral notes. Tastes of caramel, citrus, floral notes, malt. Medium body with a dry finish. Nicely masked alcohol. More malty than I prefer for an Imperial IPA but solid.

First day open! Poured a moderately hazy amber color with a small white head (definitely got the bottom of the keg, but whatever!). Aroma is citrus hops, touch of pine notes. Flavor had decent malt balance which was nice. Good first effort. Alcohol pretty well hidden for 8.5%.
