12oz can. Oily deep brown. Ring of beige head. Legs. Caramel and booze nose, woody, witchhazel. Flavor has big booze and malt and huge herbs. I don't like Widow Jane and I feel like this got a lot of that.

Keg at the brewery. Clear dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, earthy and piney hops. The taste is strong roasted malts, chocolate, mild vanilla and citrus hops. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, mild booze.

Pretty solid beer. Lots of coffee and big roast. Burnt smoke flavor a touch on the sharp side but still good. Black pour with mocha cream head and good lacing. Creamy consistency. Tap at meridian pint.

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a murky, deep mahogany brown with lots of lacing, off white head. Roasty nose, toast, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee grounds. Perhaps a bit simple. Flavor is all roast, burnt toast, coffee grounds, burnt caramel, mildly meaty. Dry finish. Maybe a little too simple.

Draft at the Ocelot Brewery. Poured a completely opaque black, with some brown edges on the sides of the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, some bitter bakers chocolate. Flavor is bitter chocolate, malt, with a sizable amount of tobacco on the finish. Beer coats your mouth and sticks with you. Also available on nitro on this particular trip. Had this one on nitro afterward and it was wonderful. Rich and creamy.
