We aged our South End Session on High Vanilla American Oak Staves. We also aged the beer on 1.5 lbs of Experimental 05256 hop. We also left this beer unfiltered.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a kind of murky orange color with a small wispy off-white head. Aroma was heavy wood, some vanilla notes. Flavor was light sweet malt, vanilla and lots of woody notes. Touch sweet. Not sure what the experimental hop added as the barrel was the most dominant character in this. Interesting.
