4oz draft at Churchkey. Poured a near-pitch black color with a nice medium sized tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, some chocolate. Flavor was bitter chocolate notes, some roasted character.

Keg at the brewpub, 10/12/14. Dark brown with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, earth, mild vanilla. The taste is bitter roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bitter hops. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, good balance. Delicious.
