The Orange Roughy’s scientific name is Hoplostethus atlanticus. Which roughly translates as, hazy, hoppy pale ale with a tropical fruit aroma, citrus flavour, and malty backbone. In the past, the roughy has been subject to unsustainable practices – completely selling out. Thanks to the hard work of our brewers, numbers are now on the rise. Careful you don’t exceed your quota, though.

Can. Almost opaque orange with a lovely lasting dense cm of white head. Tropical fruit juice aroma with papaya, pineapple, mango & orange. That threatens to be sickly but there’s an astringency and some bitterness that combats the juice too effectively. A bit like orange juice a bit too soon after brushing your teeth
