This Belgian-style Quadrupel ale is full-bodied and robust, boldly showcasing flavors of sweet dried fruits delivered on a smooth, velvety palate. Specialty malts and roasted barley give this beer a sweet malty aroma that complements its complex fruitiness. Brewed in the Belgian tradition with dark candi sugar and a Trappist ale yeast, Coming Home Holiday Ale is rich and flavorful, meant to be shared and savored among friends.

At 10% alcohol by volume, our Quad pours a deep garnet color with a dense, pillowy head. Aromas are sweet and rummy, reminding us of holiday treats. Subtle hop flavor gives enough bitterness to balance the brown sugar and caramel flavors, mingling with figs, raisins, and dates.

750mL bottle pours semi murky brown with thin copper hues and loose short lived dark tan head. The modest aroma offers up dark fruity esters, mildly spicy yeast and sort of a brown sugar sensation. It also penalizes you on a deep draw with some nose searing heat. The taste is a little prickly from carbonation pushing up notes of plum juice, raisins and ripe dark cherries. Those notes are then softened a bit by a brown sugar note and then re-livened up by an almost bright yeasty spiciness toward the finish. Interesting.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is brown sugar with some fig and molasses. Flavor is a very nice spice with some cinnamon and sugar. Finish has some dark fruit and and caramel sweetness. This is a very tasty beer. Not sure if this should really be a quad as its overly spiced but still this is something to seek out.
