Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Very deep ruby red colour, close to black, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is nuts, some roasted malts, mild toffee as well as mild syrupy "thickness". Flavour is roasted malts, some slight smoked notes as well as breadyness, some syrupy sweetness as well as caramel. Also some slight bitterness. Not all that sweet as for the flavour.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Fine, almost smoky aroma. Tastes malty and a littte bit fruity, finish a little bit too malty, nevertheless a really good schwarzbier!

Bottle. A clear, reddish brown beer with a beige head. Malty caramel aroma with a roasted touch. Caramel and roasted malt in the flavor, very low on bitterness, and quite one-dimentional. Medium body and a finish with roasted malt and caramel. Decent, but weak for a schwarzbier. (080215)

bottle, thank you pivnizub! Dark brown, nearly black colour, fluffy and very persistent beige head. Light-bodied mouthfeel with rather complex flavours of coffee, bitter chocolate, cocoa powder and a touch of caramel and roasted malt. A rather shy hoppyness is also present. A good one.

Draught at BBF07 as Glückauf Dunkel. Dark brown colour. Good roasted flavour with a long aftertaste. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but the flavour is OK. 6 3 6 3 14 Bottle, 4.9%. Weak roasted aroma. Clear, almost black colour. Nig big head, stable, tan, creamy and lacy. The flavour is mildly roasted with an underlying lager flavour. Quite mild, but ends with barley bitterness and roastedness. Thin, but OK drinkable. Typical Schwarzbier. 5 3 6 3 13
