Bottle courtesy of TimE. Nose of ginger (lots), pears, honey, apples. Slightly oxidized, but well integrated and fragrant. Amber-bronze with lace. Sweet honey flavor, soapy and oily, tangy, with a nice sour edge, tingly pepper, ginger, but much less than in the nose. Excellent stuff, wherein the ginger works very well. This has aged wonderfully well.

750mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp, pours brownish orange with no head. Floral aroma, with heavy spearmint and a little cotton candy. Very boozy flavour, with that mint upfront, floral notes, caramel and some dark fruits. Alcohol is not worked in well, but this is well-crafted nonetheless.

Originally rated September 2005. Wow ! is what I have to say. Pours a cloudy amber-beige colour with a nice creamy head that has surprisingly not much retention. The nose is a mix of alcohol, caramel and some dark fruit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some creaminess. The mouth is good mix with some mint and caramel. Very well spiced up and smooth. Some slight notes of nutes too. Very nicely brewed with some dark fruit that is not too much, and some good caramel malt. Well recommended... if you can still find some.

750ml bottle. Bought in 2004 and closet-aged until 11-2008. The aroma has little some pepper and vinegar in it. Pretty unfortunate aging, not improved. Lemony and tart, this is really a whole new creature. Still has the big malt and yeast richness, but the overall character has become pungent and warped. The harsh aroma really makes it hard to enjoy. Another Kulminator edition. I tend to agree with Blaakbird below me. Rating only reflects the aged version...the original was top notch.

Bottle pours out a cloudy gold topped with a small head. Aroma of "old man with bengay on" ya someone else said it. I was thinking it.Tast of spice and yeast odd one.
