750ml bottle [Thanks David for another Pittsburgh gem!]. Cloudy, reddish brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Vinous, fruity, minimally spicy and chocolately malty aroma, hints of blue grapes. Taste is mildly tart, vinous, spicy, notes of blue grapes, minimally chocolately and toasty, malty basis, a woody and tannic touch, black pepper.

Scottish Ale? Hmm. 750 ml bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a dark brown color with a medium brown head. A sour woody, fruity nose. Vinous flavors, red berries, some wood, sweet Munich malts, chocolate. The sourness is all over, but pretty tart. Looks like this has Lacto and a strain of Brett, mostly I get Brett I guess with some sweaty socks. Not bad, a sort of experimental unrefined flavor which is fine.

On tap a while back at East End. It’s a decent looking brown color with a bit of red and a lot of murkiness. Aromas of tart cherries and sugary malt. That said, it doesn’t come together well at all and it was a low point on the night.
