(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 11 Aug 2007) Dark amber colour with brief off-white head. Slightly malty nose with balanced notes of fruit (apricots and mandarin). Fruity taste with apricots, orange and a slightly malty background. Balanced bitterness in a slightly citrussy finish. Balanced (on the verge of modest), but tasty and nice.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 11/9/07. One of the Burton Bridge Gold Medal Ales, brewed in honour of Don Bradman. A reddish-copper colour with a slight off-white head. The aroma was of earthy hops and orange fruit. The flavour was sweet with a touch of marmalade and some bitterness in the finish. Good.
