Bottle 500ml.Light unclear medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, pale malt, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet, light light acidic and light bitter with a average to long duration, sour malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111208]

Bottled. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and quite malty as well. Flavour is quite leathery, fruity and quite floral notes as well. Not that pleasant.

Bottle from Beers of Europe consumed 26.09.10 Pours amber with an almost non-existent head. However despite the flatness to this beer it looks very clear and fine. The aroma is a little earthy but otherwise I get little else. The taste is rustic with some earthy hops and a muddling bitterness. This isn’t instantly likeable but gets better as you go on. I enjoyed it as I tend to all Wagtail beers but it wasn’t up there with the best of them from the Wagtail stable. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2
