Can at Brew (Asiatique), Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is big fruity citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a grass nettle hop, light toothpaste bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied witn average carbonation. A big hopfest for sure, but it seems to hang together quite well.

Nice looking can @ Black Swan. Buttery, sweet, fruity and alcoholic. Not refreshing enough.

350ml can @ Cardinal. Unclear orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Mild aroma of matured fruit and pale malt. Flavor is sweet pale malt, hint of caramel, fruity, ripe fruit and moderate bitterness. Quite plain and straightforward, nothing especially going on here, but no off flavors either. Medium body and moderate aftertaste. A rather plain and slightly sweet beer that might be more of a pale ale than IPA.

Can (sampled in Kyoto)
Hazy orange color, medium-sized white head. Gooseberries, overriped mango in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lots of gooseberry bushes in the flavor, nice piney-fruityness. Lingering piney bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice strong ipa from can.

Kveldens tredje japanske boksøl på Mandag i annen denne nydelige maikvelden: en ipa på 7% er kanskje i overkant for stilen. Det virker som de har brukt mye bitterhumle men lite aromahumle. Kvass i smaken, mye gress. En 50-50 blanding med den foregående (Yona Yona) var et vellykket privat ekseperiment.

350 ml can, ABV 7%, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly moderate aroma for an IPA, some fruity and piney hops, a hint of caramel. The flavour however is distinctly hoppy, with a solid bitterness from start to finish. Grapefruity and piney notes. Some malty sweetness, but not too much. The amount of bittering hops seems just right, but they could have added the aroma hops more liberally.
