Kveldens tredje japanske boksøl på Mandag i annen denne nydelige maikvelden: en ipa på 7% er kanskje i overkant for stilen. Det virker som de har brukt mye bitterhumle men lite aromahumle. Kvass i smaken, mye gress. En 50-50 blanding med den foregående (Yona Yona) var et vellykket privat ekseperiment.

350 ml can, ABV 7%, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly moderate aroma for an IPA, some fruity and piney hops, a hint of caramel. The flavour however is distinctly hoppy, with a solid bitterness from start to finish. Grapefruity and piney notes. Some malty sweetness, but not too much. The amount of bittering hops seems just right, but they could have added the aroma hops more liberally.

35cl can at a sushi place at Tallinn Airport. Pours amber with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, pale malt and hints of caramel, spices and pine. Medium to moderate sweet with nice hoppy and fruity flavours. Finishes pleasantly bitter. Nice IPA, but nothing special.

Aroma is sweet with fruity notes, caramel and hints of toffee. Flavour is sweet with fruity hops, caramel, some passion and mango. Finishes with lingering hops. Feels very American. A positive surprise.

BBE 14/04 Pours clear yellowish golden with a smooth white head. Aroma of stingy piney notes, resinous hops, grapefruits, citrus, grass and biscuity malts. Taste is sweetish, hoppy, grassy and grapefruity with resinous notes, pine and biscuity maltiness. Finish is sweetish, hoppy and bitter with some resinous notes and pine. Surprisingly good.
