Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Thick pour sits jet black. No head. Chocolate milkshake like legs. Nose has maple syrup. Pancake batter. Cadbury’s Fudge bar. Chocolate buttons. Some roast malt. Some coffee. Taste is incredibly sweet and fudgy, tempered somewhat by a vinous fruit bitterness. Slick on the palate with low carbonation. Full and chewy. Very fine carbonation. Sweetness subsides on the finish with a nice vine fruit bitterness. I had this with some Waitrose Feullatine chocolate and wondered if I was having a heart attack. Turns out not, which was nice.
