Litt pussig, men absolutt drikkbar. Beholder ratingen fra flaskeutgaven.

500ml bottle kindly shared by the RBHD crew at Cardinal in Stavanger. Bubbly beige head on top of a hazy brown body. Dotted spots on the glass. Nuts and caramel on the nose. Flavoured with buttery nuts, earth, and caramel. Dry mid-sweet ending. Something else that works quite well together (18.06.2015).

Nice brown pour with a fine tan head. Bready and some roasted notes. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Roasted, bready, mild fruity and toffee flavor. A really nice and tasty brown ale.

Cask at the Victoria, Birmingham. Firstly, let me say that at 7 Pounds 50p a pint, this had better be good! I was disappointed. Poured a clear medium brown with a frothy round head. The aroma is nutty malt. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a light yeast, light malt chocolate nut palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. An average brown ale at best and not a patch on the Rogue Hazelnut Brown, but if this is what Thornbridge are charging for their ales now they will have a rude awakening very soon! The bar staff did their best to talk it up. I’d like to say that drinking this left a bitter taste in my mouth, but it didn’t and the taste it did leave was uber costly. I have marked this beer down for the sheer cheek of thinking its worth 7 Pounds 50p a pint! Jeez... It’s cheaper drinking Thornbidge beers in Malaysia!

500 ml bottle @ Cardinal. Almost clear amber body with a big, lacing off-white head. Aroma has a lot of peanuts but also good malt. Flavor is medium sweet malt, not so much chocolate, some light toast and definitively peanuts, nice salty peanuts actually in a very balanced way. Medium body and nice aftertaste with salty peanuts. I just love this one.
