CITO, our very first beer! Pronounced “Chito”, this is a hoppy pale golden beer of 4% ABV. Hence it has HH on the label. The hops are whole-cone Savinjski for bittering and whole-cone and pellet Saaz added late in the boil and steeped in our custom-built coolship. The malt is pale and golden and malted nearby here in Yorkshire. Finally, every bubble in Cito was naturally produced in the primary fermentation and held in solution through a process called spunding.
Cito means “to summon or set in motion” in Latin – a simple, lovely beer to get us rolling.

Bottle, picked up at the brewery. Also had this on tap at the brewery. Hazed, orange gold. Thin, dense swirl of white head. Nose has pale malt. Some sweet cereal. White pepper. Fresh hop leaf. Notes orange rind. Hint of stone fruit. Taste is light sweet, with a nicely balanced, fresh hop bitterness. Super clean on the palate. A little drying. Fine carbonation. Bitterness rises and lingers on the finish. Very sessionable without holding back on the bitterness. Nice one.
