Slightly sweet with a complex malty flavor. The spicy flavor comes from our unique blend of Trappist yeast and Belgian candi sugar - making it both aromatic and flavorful. It will benefit with aging up to two years. VINTAGE DATED.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Gilly's, 12/15/09
Aroma: It has some Belgian yeast, spice, biscuit, candied sugar, orange, and floral
Appearance: This one pours a hazy golden-orange color with a small white head
Flavor: Taste is somewhat sweet, orange and coriander, with a nice balance from some floral hops
Palate: The body is medium, with a lingering to the finish, and a nicely hidden ABV
Overall Impression: This beer is pretty nice. It's a nice take on the Belgian Triple style. I like the way the flavor flows through the palate, it works well, a good balanced flavor from the yeasty sweetness that begins it through the floral hop finish, it works nicely all the way through. Probably my favorite thing so far from this series.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-apricot color with a small white-cream head. The aroma was sweet, tart and had notes of candied pear and apples. A touch of alcohol showed through on the nose. The flavor was very sweet with notes of candied pear, apricot, plum and fig. There was a yeasty undertone with strong notes of table sugar that showed through. Rather complex. There was a long fruity sugary finish. Smooth and thick body. Alcohol well hidden on the flavor. Excellent.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Cookie and alcohol aromas. Full and sweet with upfront dusty caramel turning cloying in the lasting biscuity yeast finish.
