In centuries past, groups of balding, brewing and worshipping monks pioneered the art of making beer, giving generously to the communities they served. Consuming Friar is a homage to the classic abbey beer known and loved across the world today.

Bottle. Beeches of Walkley, Sheffield. Orange amber, with a soft haze. Bubbly, off white head, that dissipates quickly. Sweet, bready, fruity, spicy malts. Bit of a fruit cake mix thing going on. Candied orange peel. Some banana esters. This smells great. Taste is fruity, estery sweet. Turns light dry. Soft, massaging mouthfeel. Hint of booze. Finishes light, fruity dry. Some sweetness in the lips lingering. Very nice. A tad sweet overall, but this is super tasty, and drinkable.
