(Draught at Café DeRat, Utrecht, 14 Aug 2025) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, spicy nose with bread, dough, herbs and coriander. Malty, fruity taste with notes of bread, citrus, orange, coriander and peaches. Low herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Refreshing and well balanced. Quite nice.

300ml bottle. Cloudy, orange golden colour with small to average, dense, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious, minimally grainy, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity aroma, some banana; a late, spicy touch of coriander. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally grainy, wheaty and pale malty, slightly yeasty fruity, minimally bitter, grassy hoppy, hints of banana, a touch of baked banana, honey; some lemongrass and a touch of coriander in the finish.
Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation.
Rather cautious, almost a tad insipid - not really convincing.

NL/BEL excursion day 4: at t’Pothuiske in Maastricht, a small one, keg. Aroma: tangerine peel. Appearance: opaque lemon, 1-2 mm. snow white scum. Palate: light-bodied and slick, soft carbonation; finish is quite abrupt. Taste: lightly sweet, tangerines, nothing is out of place but one is enough.

Had this many times before. Pours yellow, cloudy, with a steady white head. Smells and tastes like a decent witbier, with wheat, light spices and some fruit in the nose, and with a light sweet and fruity flavour. Light bodied. This rating is actually for the renewed, 6% ABV version, which is not much different from the previous 5% version. Or any other witbier for that matter.
