330ml bottle from Favourite Beers in Cheltenham. No best before on bottle, but thought I'd take a chance. Poured at home in Jersey a black flat liquid with no head or life. Very disappointing. Just about drinkable. Aromas & tastes of chocolate, coffee & roast malt. Medium body. Slightly warming finish. Would like to taste it again in good condition.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 5/12/2017. Near black in colour, with a small, beige, head. Dense, toasty malts, some chocolate and coffee notes, a hint of leafy hop before a warming finish. Very good.
