This is both our first Imperial Stout, and our first beer released to the public – a huge step for us! The recipe of BONESTORM includes long double mashing with loads of caramel malts & chocolate malts. Base is full of dark and sweet milk chocolate and caramel notes with some liquorice and a bit of roastiness. We love our stouts sweet – but not too sweet. Someone could call this a Pastry Stout, but we don’t.
We amplified the full body with 65g per litre of toasted and raw coconut. The oily coconut makes perfect pair with the sweet base beer. We recommend drinking this stout at 10 – 15 °C to get the optimum experience.

Ok let's see. Not too thick, sweet, very coconutty, followed by roast, something marshmallowy. Booze masked fairly well. Nice.

1l growler from the brewpub. Slick, velvety smooth and sweet with loads of coconutty notes, some roastiness, vanilla, cocoa, toffee, syrup and hints of licorice, vanilla and white chocolate. ABV is really well hidden. Sweet but tasty coconutty goodness. A promising start.
