If you dream of wheat this brew will get your toes tapping. Since 1995 we have brewed Bavarian style wheat beers exclusively for the same great state that grows and malts our own Wisconsin wheat. In a world full of posers this is a true hefe-weizen naturally 100% bottle fermented and hazy.

Expect this beer to cascade effervescent into your glass. The rich spicy clove and cinnamon notes will greet your nose while sweet fruit and wheat kisses your lips.

Lick the foam from your mouth and admit sometimes you just gotta get up and dance.

Bottle via a trade with iowaherkeye. Pours with a hazy golden body and a quick to fade white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, butterscotch, rotten orange and light clove. Taste is balanced with sweet vanilla, clove, banana and other spices. Creamy mouthfeel.

This is as good a wheat as I’ve ever tasted, and that includes German wheat beers. You heard that correctly. Pours a lovely hazy, golden color with a nice thick head. The aroma is strong in citrus, clove and other spices. Flavor is complex, fruty, spicy, with the clove and banana flavors one finds in a good weissbeer.

Bottle from Sammy. Thanks! Cloudy orange color with a big, very slowly-diminishing, white head. Good aroma of wheat, fruity esters (some banana, mango hints and some other fruits) and clove. Sweetish flavor with light acidic notes, banana, light spiciness, a bit of bubblegum, a bit of bread and light bitterness in the finish. Nice fluffy mouthfeel, A really good Weizen.

12oz bottle. Cloudy orange appearance. Solid effervescent carbonation. Crisp lemony wheat mouthfeel, with a mellow hefe yeast banana finish. Excellent American Wheat beer, could rival some of best in Germany. Very fresh, brought back from Wisconsin.

Scored this in a trade with kmeves. Thanks Meves! Looks like fairly normal Hef, 12oz bottle pours a translucent, cloudy, unfiltered yellowish gold with a frothy, soft white head. Flavor was very nice, right on point for an exceptional hef, cloves, banana, yeast, grain, grass, wheat, bubble gum, lemons and spice. The finish is really what makes this beer jump, very soft on the palate. Sweet finish, soft carbonation and a little chalkiness that envelopes the mouth. Maybe the best Hef I’ve ever tasted.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color wheat with a medium foamy head with average retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of cloves are dominating with some discernable wheat and overall a quite big malt base. Taste is a mix between some cloves and some big malt base and is not as close to the style as I was expecting. Either there is too much wheat and the beer is veering toward a wheat wine or maybe there is too much barley but I thought the malt base was too sweet for the style and didn’t provide enough refreshment. Also, at the risk of sounding too traditional, I would have like if more banana ester would have showed. Definitely not the best weizen out there and probably over rated and not the best beer from a very good brewer.

Thanks to iowaherkeye for the bottle - pours a hazy orange, with a foamy, short-lived head - semi-tart aroma, with notes of orange, lemon, clove, wheat (duh), a hefty dose of yeast - nice wheat and tartness up front, followed by a balancing, but mild sweetness, that lets just a bit of the tartness follow through to the finish - in between, we have a healthy amount of clove, bubble gum, over-ripe apples, other spices - not as much banana as you’d expect from an american version of the style, but it is present, as is some phenolic character - nicely balanced - these guys make great wheat beers.

12 oz. bottle from mreusch. Pour is slightly hazy orange-yellow with a big, fluffy white head that is quite firm and lasting. Aroma of fruity bubble gum and banana. Taste is spot on Hefe, malty, wheaty, nice clean palate, very crisp and refreshing. Nice soft (and audible) carbonation to clean the palate. The sweet banana fruit and bubble gum come through in the taste as well. Really no sign of the 7.2% ABV in this one. This was a great beer with Stroganoff. Thanks for giving me this one Matt! Another great one from New Glarus.

Bottle (original bottle courtesy of KingpinIPA - rerate 6-29-16). Banana, clove, orange and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange-yellow with large head. Moderately sweet ripe banana, orange, clove, wheat malt and lightly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Spectacular - seems to be maltier than the first one I had.
