25KG OF RASPBERRIES - AMAZING

This is our Raspberry Stout, strong and black, yet tart and fruity, a delicious treat of a beer. Surprisingly drinkable, there are flavours of raspberry, chocolate & dark fruits. Brewed using a Belgian yeast & roasted malts & 25kg of Raspberries!
A great after-dinner treat. Drink from a brandy snifter & savour the aromas & flavours.

Bootle - Raspberry syrup and bitter chocolate. Jet black with decent brown head. Soured dark malts with the raspberry peaks through. A nice tartness in the finish makes this quite nice.

Bottle at home, 20th September 2013. Pours way too fizzy for a stout, great big head, aroma is slightly metallic and raspberry. Taste is metallic, too much raspberry. An ugly drink, disappointing

500ml bottle [7.5% abv]. Opaque dark brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Intense raspberry aroma, dark malty background. Taste has initially full raspberry flavour, sweet and tart, later the malty background gains more weight with hints of dark chocolate and a touch of roast. Good.

50 cl bottle @ wPBF, BBE 25.10.2013
Aroma is somewhat tart with lots of raspberries. Also some slight roasted notes. Flavour has lots of somewhat tart raspberries, some malty notes and quite nothing else. Perhaps some syrupy notes here. Way too much raspberries here – hard to finish even the one fifth of the bottle. The combination of tartness and roastiness is just too much.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; almost black pour with foamy tan head, hint of raspberry aroma but mostly roast malts, the taste is similar with some bitter chocolate the carbonation is wrong for me just to fizzy.
