Ze szkła bardzo przyjemny, słodki, intensywny aromat w przywodzący na myśl dzisiejsze pastry a nie klasycznych imperialnych stoutów z wyraźną palonością, kawą, i czekoladą, pierwszy plan słodkie suszone owocki ( figi, daktyle, rodzynki) do tego przyjemna alkoholowość , bardzo fajnie otwiera się w kierunku słodziaszkowo-likierowym. W smaku gorzka czekolada, likierowo- cukierkowa alkoholowość ( coś w stylu nadzienia cukierków adwokat zmieszanego z irish coffe ), jest kontra. Ciało, wysycenie ok. Bardzo smaczna podstawka.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, bubbly, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, chocolate, sweet liquorice and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, burnt sugar, dark chocolate, coffee, sweet liquorice, black rye bread, roasted grain and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Not very complex for this kind of beer, but tasty and quite well balanced for its strength. Nice one.

Creamy tan head stayed on a near black still body. Malt, dark berry & sweet coffee aroma. Medium to full bodied, tickling the front with a creamy back. Malt, creamy sweet coffee, sweet berries, dark spirits & nutty tastes with a big boozy kick on the finish. Very tasty!

Zwart bier met kleine bruine schuimkraag. Smaak is warm en zoet met duidelijk iets van chocolade, vanille en heel zacht ietwat rook aanwezig. Erg fijn bier.

Bottle, at B2. It's close to black in the glass, topped by a dark beige head of moderate size. It has a quite heavy aroma with molasses, roasted malts and burnt hints, caramel sauce, dark rye bread and touch of brown sugar and herbs. It's full bodied, lightly warming and quite sweet, with a soft carbonation. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, caramel sauce and dark sourdough rye bread in the flavor. Lasting malty finish. A delicious and dangerously easy drinkable imperial stout. 200105

bottle from b2 burgerbar black, but pours dark brown, smooth brown head. aroma is cocoa, sweet roasted malts.wood. flavor is hard roasted malts, brown sugar, faint cocoa, interesting almost coffee like bitterness. licorice. bourbon. Heavy and flavorful imperial stout, tastes like it has been lagered on borbon barrels or with bourbon chips, but i don't know.

Tap @ 1st Anniversary Kaapse Brouwers Festival. Almost black. Shy maltaroma. Malty sweet roasty salty flavor with a hint of licorice. Slightly alcoholic. Decent beer, but this brewery can do better. (3.2) Bottle. Almost black. Roast and cacao in the aroma, malty sweet, roasty alcoholic flavor with cacao and salted licorice. Full bodied. Nice.
