On cask at the Scree Inn. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Big crema head. Nose - caramel, chocolate and light smoke. Taste - honeycomb, just an edge of molasses and smoke, with chocolate filling in all the gaps. Palate - creamy in texture. Medium bodied. Dryish roasty finish. Overall - very nice.

Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.ABV: 4.9%. Clear dark brown black color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, sod, tart roasted. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Not to my liking ! [20111208]
