Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 6/2/2017. Copper in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Some hedgerow hops, red berry fruits, sweet, slightly bready, malts and a decent, bitter, finish. Good.

Bottle from real ale store, Newark. Deep ruby colour with a light tan head. Caramel and nutty aroma and taste. Medium to fizzy body. Ok.

Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours clear amber, nose is toffee, caramel, herbal, taste is similar, sweet, chewy.

Cask @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Clear golden-brown with a small creamy head. Itโs malty, and gritty in this respect with a slight rawness. Thereโs a hint of roasted malt in its nose, and again thereโs a gritty rawness about this. Has a bitterness as well.

On gravity at 2016 Rail Ale Festival, Barrow Hill, Chesterfield - Brown body, thin head. Woody, hoppy, few fruit notes.

Cask (backlog). Very deep copper colour, small beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, wood, some resiny and raisiny notes. Flavour is wooden, fruity, some nutty notes. as well as mild syrupy and plummy notes. Pleasant balance.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, light to moderate hoppy, grass - silage. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110802]
