On tap. Pours with a hazy, pale yellow hued body with a creamy white head. Aromas are bready, grainy, mild apple and cider like esters, clove, malty and muddled. Flavors are very cidery and lightly lactic tart. Minimal traditional hefe esters, somewhat bready/grainy/wheat. Medium bubbles, creamy body. Not great.

50 cl bottle @ Bar Ikarus, Vienna airport. BBE 25.04.2012
A bit stale aroma has ripe, floury banana and yeast. Watery palate and rather thin flavour with some banana and wheat. Dry and somewhat harsh finish. Drinkable, but not very good.

Got 500 ml flip-top bottle in a trade with CaptainCougar. Pored into my Weizen glass. Hazy copper, nearly brown color. thick full head that stayed and produced some good lace all the way until empty. Lots of lively carbonation. Aroma is a lot of malt with a raisin or vegetable like smell. Taste is big time malt with a thicker wheat/ yeast backbone and a touch of hops. Also notes of bread or biscuits. I have no idea what beer some of the other raters where drinking. but it WASN’T this one. This to me is borderline a Weizen bock and has some really good flavor. I would drink this again. The key is getting a fresh bottle and not one sitting on a self forever.

Bottle: Golden, lively carbonation, big stable creamy white head, a bit hazy; moderate sweetish-wheaty nose: cloves, yeast, lemons and unfortunately vegetables in the background; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, medium bodied; light tartness in the malty-wheaty finish, followed by a faint hoppy tail. Not bad, but not great.....

(bottle) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a big and blond, slowly lacing foamy head. Moderately sweet and slightly yeasty and grainy wheat-malty aroma with distinctive notes of banana and light notes of cloves. Moderately sweet and minimal acidic flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly crispy mouthfeel. Slightly grainy and yeasty wheat-malty taste with notes of banana and a tinge of citrus and mild spicy notes; medium-dry, slightly sweet and sour fruity finish. A typical contemporary Hefeweizen of decent quality. 23.XI.09
