Bottle, courtesy of tderoeck (thanks a lot, Tim), pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very oxidized and cardboard-like, with some spices (cinnamon), and light tartness. Flavour brings out lots of Christmas spices, light oxidation, and light tartness. Probably off by a couple of years, but this is still acceptable.

Clear red amber beer, big aery off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sourish, very spicy, Christmas spices, cinnamon, smells a bit infected. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, spicy, cinnamon, tastes like a very mediocre pumpkin ale, bit sourish, some caramel, bit of mocha. 17/V/19 - 33cl bottle @ UGent DICT BBQ, BB: 18/I/20 - (2019-xxx) Thanks to the UGent HPC team for sharing this bottle! Darn, looks like I did have it before… I couldn't find it, cause the database only had Boudelo Tripel, for some weird reason they changed the spelling of this... Ar: 7, Ap: 4, T: 7, P: 3, O: 13, total: 3.4/5
Clear red brown beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit metallic, malty, dried fruits, some chocolate. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, caramel, some chocolate, soft roast, little bitter. Aftertaste: sweet, soft roast, caramel, some banana, bitter, malty, nice bitterness, more chocolate. Not bad at all. Or I was just way thirsty… That's another possibility.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.[ With black label ]. Clear with tiny sized body particles, a medium to dark amber brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, quick - fully diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy yeasty, dark berry, raisin, plum. Flavour is moderate to heay sweet and bitter with a long duration, sharp raisin - salty licorice, candy sugar, light funky, chocolate notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, but feel is fizzy, finish feel is light alcoholic. Very good together with cheese. [20120108]

Slightly aged sample - BBd + 6 months Gushing to fully flunky brown beer with olive shine and huge dirty-yellow head upheld by continuous carbonation. Sourish-phenolic nose, sulphury, cypress and laurel (bay leaf), berries, gooseberry. Quite sour taste, lactic and other organic acids. Pediococcus? In the depth dark and sweetish malts. Brown sugar too - the aroma, not the sweetness. Light body, allegedly partly by the acids, and slick, ’cobwebby’ feeling from the yeastload. I know sh*t of it, but Mr. Boelens, your beer has a yeast infection.
