Bottle picked up at Misty Bottle, Isle of Skye. It pours clear mahogany brown with a thick yellowy - beige head. The aroma is warming spice, earthy, woody, dried leaves, dried fruits, fruit cake, leather, toffee and a touch of clove rock. The taste is firm and dry, bitter woody vibes, bitter - sweet character, warming winter spice, touch of caramel, clove rock, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fig, glace cherry, tannin, alcohol warmth and a hint of cocoa with a drying, spicy finish. Medium to fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Works quite well. Robust and satisfying.
