Cask, pint at The Redgarth Inn Oldmeldrum. It pours clear amber with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is soft, hearty bready malt, earthy, hay, nuttiness, caramel and touch of porridge. The taste is soft, smooth, mellow, bready malt, some digestive biscuits, subdued sweetness, hint of caramel, nutty, grain husks, light floral accents and earth with a dry finish. Light+ body and soft carbonation. Simple, straight forward malty beer. Had hoped for a touch more, but it's drinkable enough.
