500ml bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear mahogany brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, bramble, blackcurrant, quite jammy, oak, brown bread, earth and fruit cake. The taste is drying, decent hit of bitterness which lingers, earthy, varnish, tannin, leather, some jammy berry, dried fruits, fruit cake, some spice, charred oak, toasted brown bread and some coffee grounds with a drying finish. Medium+ body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Quite toothy and chewy. Quite interesting.
