Dark amber color; medium sized creamy head. Very mild malt and caramel aroma, maybe with a hint of vegetables. Medium body strength (good, but different from what expected from a Barley Wine, more like an English Strong Ale); the mouthfeel is soft and quite round; there is caramel flavor, malt, brown sugar, very moderate sweetness, a touch of vegetables, and a bitterness that is just a bit stronger than the average English beer. Simplistic.

Bottle shared with (and courtesy of) ClubGonzo. Pours a deep and cloudy amber colour with a small beige head thats a bit like cappuccino head. The aroma consists of dried fruits, hops, chocolate, and alcohol esters. The taste is marked by surprisingly lot of sweet hops, fruit, oak and leather, and appears to be well balanced, medium bitter, smooth, and slightly dry in the end. This is a good barley wine with a fine aroma and taste.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Muddy dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with rye bread, dried fruit, raisins and a touch of resinous hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, roasted malt, chocolate and a generous, piney bitterness in a fairly vinous finish. More than medium body, slightly sweet. Quite sharp edges, but a tasty and nice beer.

Bottled:
Brown colour. Small head. Sweet, malty toffee aroma with notes of almonds and marzipan. Sweet, sticky toffee flavour followed by a long boozy bitterness. Also some dry hazel nut notes. Nope, didn’t like this one.
