Bottle from the brewery. It pours opaque darkest brown to black with a thin, frothy tan cap. The aroma is thick and chocolatey, cake frosting, chocolate cake, brownies, vanilla, bitter - sweet character, spice, dried fruits, fruity whisky, oak, earthy roasted malt, rocky road and roasted nut. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, toothy, charred oak, dried fruits, fruit cake, peanut brittle, rich chocolate vibes, vanilla, gateaux, slick, oily, decent hit of whisky, touch of toasted coconut, bounty bar and spice with some warmth and char through the finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and slick, oily mouth feel. Flavourful, nice depth and balance. Another winner form their BA selection.
