Keg at Fourpure. It pours jet black with a medium beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, chocolate cake, liquorice, warming and dark fruits. The taste is dry, bitter, chewy liquorice, chocolate cake, chewy, peppery spice, rich roasted malt and coffee grounds with a dry roasted finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Decent stuff. Aroma is particular is good.

Keg at the brewery. A clear dark. Mahogany brown coloured pour with a a lasting thin tan head. Aroma is big fresh Licorice with a lick of wintergreen, very unusual. Flavour is composed of unrefined sugars, black liquorice, wintergreen spices. Licks if ashy roast. Palate is medium bodied, moderate carbonation semi sweet, little mineral in the finish.
