Pouring reddish brown, our Broken Head Red Ale tastes of caramel and biscuit with punchy and tropical fruit aromas... Full bodied it finishes crisp with a ultra-fine bitterness.

Keg at the three John’s. A light hazed amber orange coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is subdued soapy brown malts, orange rind. Flavour is composed of solid Base grains nutty, biscuit, spicy, little citrus. Little soapy. Palate is semi sweet, frothy light grainy,. Ok.

Keg at Three Johns. It pours deep red with a sturdy off - white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, jammy, red berry, bread, fruit cake and such like. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, malty action, jammy red fruits, stewed strawberry, Victoria sponge, bready, wood, leather and some nut with a soft, lightly dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Hides alcohol well. Simple red ale. Not so bad.
