Cask at Tamworth Beer Festival 2025

Cask at Tamworth Beer Fest. Pondwater chocolate brown. Foamy off-white head soon recedes. Aroma has chocolate and hazelnut - praline. Flavourwise it has the praline plus added berries. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Decent.

Gravity cask at the 31st Tamworth Beer Festival, Assembly Rooms Tamworth, day 2 - 05/09/2025.
Murky deep mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that thins to the edge.
Nose is chocolate shavings, nutty, hint of vanilla.
Taste comprises dark malts, hazelnut, cocoa powder, charr.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close.
Tidy enough stout.

Gravicask, half-pint, shared with Finn. Fragile lacing, tiny fawn coloured head, near-black in the glass. Roasted grainy chocolate aromas, promising. Malt-forward taste character of nutty chocolate and a creamy coffee twist towards the ending. Medium bodied. Nice.
Second session at the 44th Liverpool Beer Festival, Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt

Beer five at the Pendle Beer Festival 2025. Still dark, switching back to stout from porter. Not a heavy nutty influence but it is evident. Not a heavy stout either with a mild sweetness in its aftertaste.
