Cask at Lady Greyโs, Newcastle. It pours golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is doughy, grainy, soft orange, tangerine, sherbet and over-ripe banana. The taste is doughy, orange, good deal of bitterness, pine, resin, spice and some alcohol warmth with a dry, bitter finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. A very nice contemporary/hoppy take on the English Strong Ale. Rather nice!
