Cask at Hand in Hand, Brighton. It pours black with a medium beige head. The nose is roasty, earth, cocoa, light smoke, liquorice and treacle. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, earth, earth, cocoa, some acidity, toasty and liquorice with a dry, roasty finish. Pretty flavoursome and well-balanced. Good stuff.
