Centennial hops provide the bitterness backbone to this copper-colored, medium bodied IPA. Generous dry-hopping provides aromas of strawberries, citrus, and juniper.

On tap at TCBF, pours cloudy amber. Aroma of citrus, caramel, dried fruit and hops. Flavour follows similarly, with a nice piney hop bunch, with elements of dried fruits and caramel. Great one.

22oz bomber. Opaque red-brown color. Head fades out into cottony beige soap clumps. Some fresh grapefuit hop aromatics, but overall pretty mild. Has some of what you’d want: a thick malt backbone, some nice hoppy bitterness..Overall though, this one falls a little short, lacking some depth, and while the hops add some bitterness, they aren’t that impressive...rather one sided. Not bad by any means, and better fresh on tap I’m sure, I’m still quite underwhelmed with this beer.

10 oz schooner draft at the brewery pub in Seattle, Washington. Pour is a hazed golden ruby with a smallish off white head. Aroma of citrus sweet (kiwi fruit) hops along with some grassiness. Taste is quite sweet right away, more of the kiwi orange fruit sweetness, with a hint of honey. The grassiness picks back up in the middle and finishes it out. As it warms, a touch of diacetyl comes out in the finish. Palate is medium bodied, slightly undercarbonated with a sweet drying finish. Nice enough.

Bottle: Pours a dull, brownish orange with a finger of fluffy sand colored head. Smells hoppy enough, mostly florals and light citrus. Nice impact with the floral hops, sweet caramel, and lingering bitters. Solid flavor - very drinkable.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours copper/amber with a decent off-white head. Floral, citrus and resin mixed aromas over a hint of caramel. Medium body with rather frothy carbonation. Flavor is malty, but offset by decent hop bitter. There’s a strong grapefruit rind component after the malt washes away. This is really hoppy, and fairly bitter, ale. It’s wonderful.

2009 GABF Taster Pours out a cloudy copper topped with a off white head. Aroma of citrus hop and a good dose of caramel sweetness. Taste more of the citrus but pumped up a little more of the grapefruit peel. Not over the top hops with a nice malt to balance it out.

Cask Version. Deep dark mber with a bubbly, lacy head. Big citrus hops aroma with warm caramel malts. Great balance in the nose! Flavor is slightly metallic, lemony, citrus with ok malt but not as good as the nose.
