Nonetheless, I seem to have enjoyed it a bit better, though I'm hardly a fan. Way too spicy aroma of anise and cough syrup with sticky malt and some alcohol. Very sweet flavour with some booze. Body is full and sticky. Not a great Eisbock at all, but fairly drinkable.

6 3 6 3 11Draft at Rootz Pinkster Lentebierfestival ‘18. Hazy amber with a thick off white head. Aroma of herb, ripe dark fruits, yeast, dough, caramel and tart fruits. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and above light sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Smokey! Sweet and meaty. Quite medicinal as well. Boozy, good thickness, easy drinking. Nice!

from tap @LentebierFestival Leeuwarden 2018, shared by #tricksta_p, thanks Patrick. this is a "ijsbock" from a bad batch "Grutte Pier Bock", which otherwise would be washed away, so lets freeze this shit and defrost is slowly to try to make money out of it, added some anice and licorice. Tast is low on carbo, quite sweet, anice, licorice, cough syrup, medium bitterness, taste is ok i guess for some sips, not fond of the fact that it's a way to limit your loss.
